BRC Run – 10/28 – 0645 – Halloween Run – 7.4 miles
Festive Attire Encouraged
I’m not suggesting that this group has supernatural or otherworldly powers, but last year, someone dressed as his favorite orange-skinned person, and now we have a new president. Coincidence? Maybe. But just in case, you should dress up in something reflecting your fantastic desires. Batman? Superman? Someone dressed as a border sign? I’ve seen them all on the Halloween Run. Make some more memories and send me the pictures.
So Where Should We Go?
Well, we know what the goal is. Drink more beer. Wait, that doesn’t seem right. Run miles? Anyway, in costume, it might not always be easy to churn out dozens of kilometers. Halloween Headquarters sounds like a decent place to visit. You might have to break in at the time we’d be rolling by, but if you forgot your costume, what else can you do? http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/1335483970/
Need More Miles?
Need can be subjective. I need to get 13 miles tomorrow, and I need to be done by 8am. I’m running the 10K route at 5:40, returning to the Commons by 6:45 to start the group run. Or, if you’re less inclined to run in the dark, you can tack on the 5K or 10K course after the Halloween Loop.
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-
Only this, and nothing more."
