Beautiful Spring Day

For all of you sufferers out there, I feel your pain.  And discomfort. And general fogginess. Stupid pollen. But hay! Let’s go make it worse. Two routes I enjoy in the spring go along those evil, evil tree-lined routes and up and over many rolling hills. (Because in North Andover, we don’t get enough hills) We did a variation of one of those routes last week on our Memorial Day run. This week, we’re headed toward the same general area, but there’s an option for a mid-run swim if anyone is so inclined. Let’s go run past Stiles Pond, and loop back up Dale Street. That will get you a bit over ten miles. https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/244461479/

For those who need just a little more, there should be many opportunities to add-on. Just be aware of where you are going and how to get back. Accidentally running a full marathon is only for the prepared and well trained.

Calendar is in the Works

Great input from several of you for calendar events. I am compiling them and will publish more in the coming weeks. Here’s some of what I know is coming up soon:

  • Tuesday — BRC Weekly 5K

There were fewer runners this week at the weekly pub run. I know this week’s run should be a big one, on National Running Day Eve. Start at Rolf’s at 645 pm. Food, drink, and good company to follow.

  • June 9thBerry Pond Scramble
  • June 15thMt. Washington Road Race
  • July 13th — The BRC Triathlon

The BRC Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, July 13th. You have six more weeks to get ready. BRC number 102, Aaron Preston, has announced a call for athletes and volunteers. Reach out to him if you are interested.

“Hay” instead if “Hey.” Get it? If you don’t like it, lump it. But take your Claritin first.
