The Run to Breakfast
As most of you are aware, the BAA has scheduled this year’s Boston Marathon for some time in October. Many of you are in near-marathon condition now. What better way to welcome spring than by completing the traditional Run to Breakfast? For those of you new to this, the Run to Breakfast is a point-to-point run from the North Andover Common to the Anchor Pub and Grille in Beverly. We normally run this route three weeks before the marathon and it can serve as the final 20+ mile training run before your taper. However, the appeal of community, beers, and breakfast compels me to schedule it even without the marathon. This year I anticipate it will be on Patriots’ Day weekend, April 17th.
Please let me know if you would like to attend. The Anchor Pub will host breakfast, but we will be required to have separate tables of no more than 6 people each. You could even sit by yourself if that works better for you. Nobody should be forced to watch me eat.
