BRC Run – 07/20 – 0645 – Southern Cousin – 6.2 mi [BORDER]
So Hot Outside.
This weekend promises to be hot and steamy, and not in a good way. If you want to run long crazy distances, you are free to do so. The rest of the club should stay Kool, and consider a funky, shorter alternative. Why not go visit our cousins in South Andover? https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/2106799780/
Drink plenty of fluids.
BRC Triathlon!
Congratulations to Thor and Lisa, who were 1st place Men’s and Women’s finishers at last week’s BRC Triathlon. Congratulations to Race Director Aaron, on successfully organizing the event. Thank you to all of the volunteers and spectators. Aaron couldn’t have done it alone. More congratulations to all of the finishers. You have accomplished amazing feats of strength, and should be proud. I’ll sit here as a non-participant and feel shame. Maybe I’ll come out next year as comedy relief.
Looking for Help with the BRC Tuesday Night 5K Rolf’s Run!
(Alternate title: Hey! Some people are going to Yankee Homecoming)
On July 30th many BRC members will be running in the 5K or 10mile races in Newburyport for Yankee Homecoming. Paul is hoping that while he’s away, somebody who is NOT planning on going to Newburyport can mind the store at Rolf’s, greet interested runners, and have a good time.
Also, note that there are plenty of BRC members going to the race. Use your noodle and find a carpool that fits your style of afterparty.
Mailing List backlog in Progress
I emailed some recent BCC: addresses this week (ok, yesterday) and got some new RWOBs on the mailing list. I have several more to contact.
