BRC Run – 4/13 – A Big Deal – Just a few miles
You’re Kind of a Big Deal
BAA Boston Marathon. I think there’s not much else to say. So I’ll just say the same things I said last year. Badasses. Our runners are kind of a big deal. Here is the list of our friends who are preparing to run Monday.
For those about to rock…

But Do WE Still Run on Saturday?
YES. Saturday morning at the Common, at 6:45. Many of our marathoners may not run, or some may only want a few miles to shake things out, but we still run from the Common. I’m still battling apathy, but I don’t care too much about getting better. You should go to West Boxford for 7.5 miles. There’s a country store at about the midpoint, where you can buy a beverage. https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/2182542235/
There’s also a shortcut route, only 5.7 miles: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/2182551115/
Our Fundraisers
There’s a significant overlap in our qualifiers and our fundraisers. Not everyone here NEEDED to raise money in order to run the race Monday, but chose to do it anyway. I hope you’ll find a charity worthy of your time and consideration. I’m torn between wanting to include tons of info about their charities, and simply a link. For now, I will include a brief mention and a link, where you can learn more. Note that some (or all) of these runners may have already met their commitment, but remember that they are generally running for a good cause, and more is always appreciated. Solicitations here are presented in the order in which I received them. First-come, first served.
(108) Mark LaRosa’s wife, Heather: One Summit

If I have left anyone off, this is your one chance, get-out-of-jail-free card to spam the club with your charity for Boston. Or just let me know I forgot you, and I’ll spam everyone for you.
Volunteers Needed for the Troops
The Run for The Troops still needs volunteers. This year’s race is on April 28th. In past years, we had many BRC members help with the race, and they need our help once again. It is fun. It is for a good cause. You should help. Interested volunteers please contact Dave Tyler <davidatyler@yahoo.com> directly.
