The Lights Are On
I’ve been without power for most of the week. Luckily, most people are back by now, so I don’t have to send this via smoke signals. Not much to write this week. I know many of the side roads are still very cluttered. Simple Out-And-Back route this week on a main street that has been well cleared. At least we go to a border. http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/179216844/
Remember to set your clocks back Saturday night. That should give us a little more daylight for runs for a couple of weeks until winter starts to catch up to us.
We don’t normally publish individual’s fund-raising efforts, but this one is a raffle. Paul McDonald is raffling off PATRIOTS Tickets. He has two choice seats in section 137 for the game against Miami Dolphins. Raffle tickets are $10 each, or three for $20. He will accept checks payable to Boston Children’s Hospital or a direct donation on his Boston Marathon fundraising page.
I had planned to finally begin migrating us to a Google Groups mailing list this past week, but I just didn’t have it in me to do it in the dark. Watch your inboxes for invitations to join the new BRC mailing list. Sending 10 individual emails, while dodging spam filters is cumbersome, error-prone, and a regular pain in the ass. Hopefully, you’ll stay with us.
Sitting in the dark this week, I thought I would try to come up with something witty to write this week. Didn’t work. Maybe next time.
