I’m Not Even Sure There’s A Race

It’s that time of year, when we celebrate those intrepid souls who stood up to tyranny, declared their independence as sovereign men, and denied the claims of a faraway government, intent on ruling them as subjects and dictating the strictures of their everyday lives. We have celebrations, picnics, fireworks, and races. We are free. We do what we choose to be in our best interest.

With all of the trouble of the past 15 months, from virus concerns to voting “irregularities,” and even confirmation of aliens, it seems as though we would remember these basic beliefs, yet things have been so slow that I have no clue whether there is even a town race planned. Luckily, we’re the BRC. We’ll travel our own path, and decide for each of ourselves how best to move forward. This weekend, I suggest you move forward on our traditional 10K or 5K routes.
