I guess Garmin Connect is down! How can I be expected to run, bike, or swim if I can’t humble-brag about it on social media? That’s unfathomable! I mean, all of my followers and friends rely on seeing carefully planned pictures of my legs, or of me running, or my Garmin screen in order to keep them motivated! What good is a picture of my watch if it doesn’t get synchronized with the online database?
OK, ok. Put down the torches and pitchforks. It’s a joke. But, Garmin IS definitely having some issues, with some insiders reporting it could be a ransomware attack on their servers. Unsubstantiated rumor! They are just overwhelmed by the BRC traffic which gets uploaded every day and they need to take a breather. So, we can’t upload our runs right now, and the pub isn’t usually open at 0645. What should we do?
Just another run. Try to keep it shady. Do some hills. Go slow, and have fun. Maybe don’t wear a watch, and just run by feel? West Boxford is pretty, and there’s a nice bail-out to go by Smolak Farm if you want to go shorter.

Yankee Homecoming 10 Miler Replacement THIS TUESDAY
As of the middle of last week, half the field was full for the 2020 YH: Covid edition. Paul O’Neill is organizing a safe, distanced distance event on Tuesday night. He had 22 runners registered, with room for 28 more. He might need a couple more volunteers, if you are available. Sunday night is the deadline for registration. Email Paul directly (email@example.com) and PROVIDE YOUR PROJECTED PACE so that he can correctly stagger the start and help keep people properly distanced.
